When the local Wal-Mart closed their fabric department I got 3 yards of a striped brocade and what I thought was a matching solid brocade of one of the colors in the stripe. Guess what...neither the color nor the textures match. And it's just far enough off that it would drive me nuts if I did the curtains I had planned to do with these fabrics.

So here is the dilema. I want the colors in the stripes to be the colors in my dinningroom. They are harvest gold, olive green, and scarlet. Since I already have 4 tableclothes and 8 placemates what do I make with the fabrics? Can you direct me to some patterns that might work well with the brocades?

Chair Cushions are a good idea. Of course it would have to wait until I bought new chairs. The ones I have are falling apart.

Do you have a buffet or cradenza, you could do a runner for the tops of them. My original thought was the chairs also. Maybe you could make the covers for the whole chair like they do at weddings.

I don't have nearly enough fabric for making covers for the whole chair. I wish I did because I think that would be beautiful. I do have a cradenza type shelving unit that I keep my big serving plates on. I might be able to come up with a runner for the different shelves. Thank you for the idea.
