I'm so excited! I've got DH on board! That was a feat in itself. He can't understand spending money on a sewing machine that costs the same as a good used car. I've got it narrowed down to three machines. I am going to test drive them at the state fair and hopefully get a reduced price. If I have any $$ left over from my budget, I can buy accesories!
I'm doing the happy dance. I just don't know if I can wait until August 25th!

Good for you! Just remember, the machine buying (specially at the fair) is like a car purchase. You have to be able and willing to negotiate. Don't let them badger you into paying more than you are willing to pay. Now if they won't come down in price (within reason) then the dealer better toss in some nice extras. Good luck!

Buying at the Fair is a good idea especially if you can sewing on the machines side by side and compare features. It sounds like you've done your homework. Check out their prices and extras on from various places so you have ample ammo when negotiating the deal. And don't forget the plain old hem and haw body language. What 3 have your narrowed it down to?
