Iron help
I need a new iron. I don't care about leaking because I never put water in my irons. I just want three things:
- An iron that gets REALLY hot
- A large plate - so many have small surfaces. I want to cover as much fabric as possible with every pass.
- I don't want it to weigh a ton
No auto shut off would be a bonus. Is there anything out there that would meet my needs? Please advise.

I bought my Rowenta iron at Costco. It is large and I think it is HOT but was NOT as heavy as I thought it would be. I have had it over two year and it doesn't spit or leak. It does have auto shut off which I prefer. Your iron is one item that really does suck on electricity!

I bought a T FAL. It is 1500 watts with a ceramic sole plate rather than non stick or chromed. I really like it so far! It heats up really quickly and has a big, fat bottom so it doesn't fall on the floor.
