Bought ironing board covers only seem to last 5 mins. I hate it when they look "disreputable". Clever fix....and you are not cheap....you are clever and frugal.

I made a new cover for my "homemade" Ironingboard from the silver fabric and because I spray starch so much I use an old flat sheet (cut up the center lengthwise) and put it over the board then I can move it to a fresh spot when it becomes too sticky. I have found I don't get anymore starch flaking and buildup on my iron.

Great ideas for covering an ironing board - mine is really in new of a face lift. Sounds like a Sunday afternoon project.
