You sign up, and approx 5 others will be in your group.
You make the center for YOUR quilt, according to the specified dimensions of the IRR.
Then you will send your center to the next person on the list. They will add a border to your quilt, and at the same time you will add a border to someone elses.
With each border you have a certain amount of time to get it done and sent to the next person, as well as there is a size requirement for each round of borders.
After the last person is finished adding their border to your quilt, it is sent back to you to sandwich, quilt and bind :D:D:D

In an International Round Robin, there are 6 participants, each person makes a centre, then sends her centre to the next person, who adds a border. Then it's sent to the next person in line, who adds another border, and so on until each centre has 5 new borders, added by 5 different people. Then the completed top goes back to the person who made the centre, to be quilted and finished by them.
And yes, it always gets sent by you, to the same person in your group each time it's due to be mailed.
There is a timetable for this.
Hope this helped.
