    The dealers call it by #2. That is the only way I have heard it said.

    I just bought a new Janome and the manufacture called it Ja nom e ....

    many years ago, I took a class from a local quilt store, which sold Pfaffs - I brought my Janome to class and the instructor who hated Janome referred to it as my "Jer-om-ey" - that name has stuck in my mind.....

    Ja -NO-me. It's means "eye of the snake" in Japanese.
