Ja-Gnome, or Ja-No-Me?

Are you asking about pronunciation of the Janome brand? Aren't those pronounced the same? silent G.

Ja-no-me - maybe this is one of those regional dialects.

Ja-gnome, but I've never actually heard it pronounced by anyone else so I'm going on how it reads to me.

So is it two syllables or three? I have assumed only two, but I also know what assuming does to U and ME. Lol!

1. jä-nōm (Two syllables)
2. jä-'nō-mē (Three syllables)

To me both are acceptable. The first being French and the second being English.

It's a Japanese company so I assume it's pronounced in the Japanese way. It sounds more like Ja-no-me when my Japanese friend says it. Of course, her accent adds a little something that a Midwestern girl just can't replicate.
