Have you used the search feature above to see if anyone has posted about it? The search feature comes in very handy.

There is a Yahoo group for the Janome7700. Lots of interesting chatter on the site.

I got mine in July and love it- it was the first machine I had purchased in 24 years, so quite a change! Has definitely helped with my FMQ, and is also great for garment and home dec sewing.

The yahoo group is full of info. One problem some people have had was with the 1/4 " foot over multiple seams. Janome has redesigned that foot and is currently shipping it free of charge to all registered owners.

The only thing I would like is a more complete users manual, the one with the machine is pretty basic and I feel like there are features I haven't used to the fullest extent yet.

Hi..I bought my 7700 just a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to try everything out yet, but so far I love it. Did a little bit of FMQ, some applique and general sewing. And I LOVE the open toe accufeed foot :) That was an extra foot my dealer threw in.

I traded the 6600 for the 7700 and so far love it!!! the 6600 did not have a free arm. My husband bought it for me but told me if I wanted to upgrade I could so he went and got the 7700. I cannot believe the difference....Love it! I also wish manual was better. I am going to look into buying a few books if available to learn more.

I have had the Jamone now since Christmas...Love, Love, Love it...I was having some tension issues when FMG'ing on my last quilt which I used very thick backing...I talked to the dealer who also fixing machines and has been in business for over 30 years...anyways...it was not a bobbin or tension issue it was the needle I was using. They have two quilting needles...a 11 and a 14 for thicker material...I came home put on the thicker needle and it worked like a dream...!!!! no more thread shredding and no tension issue...I wish I would have asked him a few months ago...I also just ordered the blue bobbin case for FMQ'ing it was only 30.00 and I have heard great reviews.
