You would want to make sure it has a blank memory card that you can at least use designs off your computer. I don't know if the 9000 uses Embird or something else. My SIL had trouble with her 9000. I would offer $500 and then go to ebay to get some extras. I have a 10001 and I still wanted to do larger designs and also cut the jump stitches for me. I really like having a cutter button too so I bought a used Babylock Ellegante. My 10001 is for sale with software and 1000's of floppy disks for $1500. You should take a trip to Chicago and have a second machine! Ebay still wants $2000 and $3000 for the 10001.

the 9000 does not have a usb port for downloading designs off the internet. I have had my 9000 for 15 years and love it. I upgraded to a 10001 so I could down load designs from the computor. I kept the 9000 and it is a work horse. Never had a bit of trouble with it and have 25 cards I use on it. Around here a couple of them sold for $500. as they are an older model of machine. Janome is my favorite machines.

Does the 9000 have a blank card or a way to load designs from the computer? What are the limits for designs, like .sew format?
