Default as a boarded what do you guys think?

This is what I have so far. Not positive what I will do in the corners yet but this is a boarder that I am going to do and in the second pic is going to be the final boarder section that will hang off the side of the bed. I have been trying to decide what to do for months on the boarders. But this is what I have. What do you guys think? Having trouble with the second pic will try to post it also.

Here is the second pic. The blue strip and purple and green next to the top are not going to be there. But the ones under the star looking block will be but not positive on the fabrics and their placement.

Wowza, that quilt is gorgeous!!! The fabrics are gorgeous too. I'm not good at figuring this kind of thing out so I will leave that to others. Just wanted to say I loved the quilt and the fabrics ... cute quilt-holder-downer-too LOL.

That is one beautiful quilt. Your piecing is perfect. If I were doing it I would use for the outer most borders the fabrics that are closest to being solids. It helps if the borders don't take the eye away from the main event, the center.

I'll jump in and give you my 2cents worth. Put a dark purple next to the portion of the quilt you have put together.
Then I would do a green border that you now have against the purple, then the blue you have laying there, then the green laying out on the right hand side in your picture and then Purple again in a larger width. the first purple doesn't have to be very big. You are using it to frame your quilt.

Is the block in the second picture going to be the corner blocks? I think that would look good with a 2 colour border in between the corner blocks. It is an awesome top!

The foursquares with the fairy are going to be a corner block that should be around 12" or so and that will be the drop of the top off thr bed. And I was going to do a sort of racing strip effect between the down the sides of the quilt as a boarder. And then maybe add one more solid boarder to finish it off then binding. The first pic had that one row at thetop which will be carried around the whole top. To be seen on the top of the bed. The boarders and corner blocks will be what hangs down on three sides and under pillows at the top. Hope this is clear as mud.
