Kathy Sandback author/teacher/quilts... long message
#13
I took a two-day machine quilting (FMQ) class from Kathy about 4 years ago. I can't believe what I'm reading. She was a very strong woman - no lack of personality for sure! This is sad. I'm going to check in with the site and see if I can let her kids know that I learned a lot from her. (Except still can FMQ, but that's my problem, not Kathy's!)

I'm thinking and hoping that of all the quilts, they at least each chose one special one to keep in memory of their mom's great talent. I don't know if Kathy has grand kids, but it would be special if each one had one of their grandma's quilts.
Of course, finances and lack of, can be very demanding and stressful and may be the driving force behind all decisions made. Just hoping they won't regret the loss of any of the quilts as time goes by.
My best wishes for the family
warm quilt hugs, sue

I truely feel for her family. my grandma is in a home because she was to much to care for because of her dementia/Alzheimer. I hope that they will keep something special of hers but I am sure that she has made a special quilt for each of them to keep.
