I've been in contact with some people having a benefit auction in the near future and was told there is going to be an OLD Kenmore on the auction...it's black! but they can't find the date on it at all. Anyone have an idea on where to find a number of any kind? Those looking wouldn't turn it upside down or inside out to find it like I would, but I am only looking at a phone pic. There is a box with attachments. I'm excited, but would like your expertise...anyone heard of this type of Kenmore?

I have to get a new belt for it as the one it slips.

Yes, I did! It's in really bad shape....been in the storage building for several years...hot, cold, hot, cold. It's all mildewy. I know it's a WWII vintage, cuz it's the old rough metal. Sorta grayish. Needs a good cleaning, but can't do it in the house, so we are waiting for the garage to warm up and spring to come so we can have ventilation, to give it a good cleaning! The case is in even worse shape. But we'll see what we have when the time comes.
