Greeting everyone,
I just found your forum and am so glad! No one around me is interested in quilting (shame on them!) so I'm glad I found this spot to land. My question- I received a flyer to have me subscribe to Fon & Porter's magazine and in that flyer were lots of pictures of different quilts in that group of pictures was the Kimono Rose (which they misspelled! buts that's another story) Anyway, I found the woman's website that designed it, have found pictures of quilts that people have made of it but I cannot find a pattern for it. Is there anyone out there that can send me to a spot that I can find the pattern? If you can help me I would so appreciate it. I'm itching to start that quilt!
Thanks again
Vickie

half way down this page you can order this issue of the magazine. I did note that you search their site and there is a correction posted for that pattern (pattern on page 73) giving the correct number of triangles to cut in each color so you might also make sure you go to the fonsandporter.com site and research this too! Good luck! (the back issue is $5.99)

well that was dumb of me! I knew it came from Fons & Porter but never thought about ordering their back magazine. Thanks for the info, I'll go and order the magazine and start picking out fabric while I wait for it. Of course knowing me, I'll have forgotten it by then and moved on to something else! Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the welcome! This is the most indepth quilting site I've found. There is a lot of information here. I'm in the midst of transitioning from work to disability and finding my way back to quilting has been good for the soul. As I said I've always hand quilted, sewing machines have scared me from high school home ec (now i'm dated! do they even call that anymore? I remember boys weren't even allowed!) It was the only class I ever flunked seemed like every sewing machine I touched I broke, the only thing I made completely was a shirt which of course I put the zipper in backwards! Never touched a sewing machine since! But now I've broken down and decided to get one I had no idea they were SO expensive and of course I want a sewing machine/embroidery machine go figure. I'm thinking of purchasing the Brother SE 350 anyone know anything about that machine?
And thanks again for the welcome!
