I too made a Kimono Rose Quilt but reversed the fans and roses. The center panel is an antique Hoffman. I hand quilted it with a fan stencil in the small rectangles; clam shells in the corners and crosshatching in the yellow sections. In the lavendar, I followed the wave print.

Oohhhh!!! I just started a Kimono Rose quilt, but am doing it in very different fabrics....Urban Couture by Moda. It's going to look very different!!

But I certainly admire yours....since starting it I know how difficult it really is. Altho it appears somewhat simple.it's not!!!

That is absolutely beautiful. Love the colour choices and the fans are stunning, lots of dimension and interest.

That is so beautiful. I like how you reversed the fans and flowers. This was an interesting quilt to make, don't you think?

No silks, all cottons. I bought the green corner fabric whie visiting Japan, but the others are from our area quilt shops.

Just beautiful. I love purple but have trouble incorporating it into my quilts. You did a lovely job.

It's soooo beautiful!!! You did a great job and I really love the Japanese quilts that I've seen and their fabrics too. Silk doesn't hold up very well in quilts as I've had to applique something else in cotton in its place on a few quilts. :D :D :D
