    Hi everyone-
Just wanted to let you know that my school is now the proud place where "Kreative Kids" are learning how to sew and quilt.
We have now met twice, and the sounds of giggling girls who are opening boxes of great fabric and notions makes me smile throughout........

There are dozens of you that have contributed boxes of fabric, notions, thread, magazines and support and encouragement.....

I can't post pictures here (school confidentiality) but I can send you a pic through private email, if you would like to see.
I will be keeping you updated so you can see and share in the joy....

the girls dont really understand the quilting process nor do they understand that we can make wonderful quilts out of scraps...but we are very energetic and very enthusiastic, and are having lots of fun!!!!!

If any of you are de-stashing and would still like to contribute, we still need scissors, white thread, and a few cutting mats would be great! Oh and of course, more fabric!!!!!!!

Thank you notes will be going out this week, so all of you that have donated will at least hear from the girls, and they have been amazed that people all around the country are helping them have fun.

Please know I appreciate all of you--it is a very dark time within our district, and this brings so much sunshine......
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.....

    :-D :-D :-D :D :D

So good to hear, I was wondering how it was going just the other day. I will send some more in the next few weeks.

I very much hope that this 'fun' will grow into love of quilting.
You are teaching them something that will help them all their lives, and I'm sure they will remember you when they are grandmothers, teaching their own little ones in their turn.

Hi! Glad to hear that your club is getting off the ground. I have some extra mats. Do you have a size preference? Keep wanting to call you. Just hasn't been in the cards. Check out my PDA for the whys. Would call you now but don't know if too late for you?
