If you want to see the new lines, you can here: http://www.eeschenck.com Anybody can browse their site, just choose "fabrics" and then scroll down to get to the "Fabric Freedom" section.
In case any of you are wondering what happens "behind the scenes"... most fabrics are printed in China, South Korea or Japan these days. Schenck will have the Fabric Freedom ones shipped directly from the far east to their warehouses in CA and OR. And the bolts that are going to Fabric Freedom in England will just go on different boats, I suppose. What they are *not* going to do is print in the far east, ship it all to England and then send some of it back to the US. (That would be silly, wouldn't it?)
Anyhow... if anybody wants to start a new topic and say what the best of the new Fabric Freedom lines are... I'm all ears!!

An update on the schedule for the new colorways of the Lakehouse hydrangea & raspberry fabrics... the powder pink colorway, which was part of the Teatime Florals II collection, is supposed to be available in September. The mist & cloud blue colorway is not coming until January. (Too bad... I was hoping all of them would be out in fall!)
Anyway... I talked to Sam, the owner of Needlecraft (an east coast fabric distributor), and he is still trying to get Holly (owner of Lakehouse) to reprint 03007-ivory, the cream-periwinkle-purple colorway of the hydrangea and raspberry print (pictured below). The plan is that he and I will split a printing, giving each of us 500 yards to sell. He's pretty sure that Holly will reprint it (why wouldn't she?) but he wants to make sure that if it goes to print, the printing will be exclusively his and mine.
Whew! Five hundred yards is not a lot for him to sell, but it sure seems so for me! But it's such a lovely color, I'm pretty sure that this will work out. It's the first time I've tried to "commission a printing". Kind of scary to the budget... you know, a lot of eggs in a single basket.
Now... how's that for a behind-the-scenes look at the inside of the fabric industry?

I have about 3/4 yard of the ivory -- enough for an accent pillow. I have a bit more of the periwinkle that I'm going to use for my center in the new round robin quilt. I've had them about 4 years, found them on the remnant table at Hancocks of Paducah. Love them. Let us know if the ivory gets reprinted.

It's definite... the ivory colorway is coming back!! Hooray!
I'm not sure when it will be coming... it will be at least two months, and that's on the optimistic side. More likely it won't be available until January. It all depends on the schedule of the overseas mill that does the printing. But the printing has been scheduled, so it's for sure that it will be coming.
