If I move my Sewing room into my windowless laundry room, will I be asking for trouble? Can't afford to cut into Rock-walled house to install a window, at this time.

I like windows as I can see out and I enjoy the natural light. My suggestion is get good lighting and hang up something you like to look at for a view.

my sewing room & laundry room have been combined for at least 20 yrs & have never had a problem[wait til tommorow !]in some ways,it's very convenient !i tend to sew & forget the clothes in washr/dryer ! also cutting table makes a great folding table[when i can get to it !]i'm lucky to have two windows ,but a 4 foot work lightreally helps. good luck

If worried about moisture, get a dehumidifier.
Keep the machine oiled, as the manual says.
My sewing room is in the basement & having my machines
    rust is a concern.
I had painted murial on my one wall down there, but
painted over it and like the white walls better.

Thanks for the advice: this is just one of the many reasons I love this Board, we all are willing to share.

My sewing room is also in my laundry room also windowless but my hubby put in a lot of lighting and it is wonderful. I love sewing while I'm doing laundry and I'm in my own little world, it works for me anyway

My laundry room barely holds the washer and dryer. Our walk in closet is bigger than the laundry room.
