i vote for sashing, but abutted is nice too

I usually do sashing but I really like what you have posted. I think I would sew them the way they are and add a nice big border.

I also like it without sashing, because of the lattice effect. But maybe that would also still happen with sashing...I can't really picture it in my mind. Maybe try laying it out with sashing and without and then decide which version you like best. :-)

I think I would add a darker blue sashing and yellow corner stones, just MHO

It is really pretty this way, but sashing might look good too. It would make the blocks stand out more. I love your color choices.

A very small sashing would set the blocks apart but not lose the lattice effect. I recently use a 1" strip between my blocks, finished 1/2", and liked the fine line separation. Love the blue and yellow combo!

Its going to be beautiful...I would add sashings in yellow, with blue corner stones and borders...Regardless of what you do its going to be awesome and she is going to LOVE it
