I use DVD racks to store my fabric (wrapped on plastic corrugated board). So this summer I was out at a flea market and bought a 5ft high, 3ft wide cd rack. Duh! I wasn't thinking. CD racks have the shelves closer together than DVD racks. So, my fabric won't fit on it. I was going to give it away, but then when I was going through some stuff in the basement I found a plastic stearlite container and sure enough it fit perfectly on the cd rack.

So I went to walmart and bought a variety of 2 sizes - square and rectangle. They are meant for storing CDs, so the size is perfect on the rack. (I'll post a picture tonight) They were $2 to $3 each.

I am using these plastic cases to store scraps - organized by size - as well as other misc items that were cluttering my work table.

Yeah!! A little organization goes a long way.

Sounds like something we could really use! Please post pic. I'd love to see what you mean. I already have some containers....wonder if they would work the way you've described.

Is it the CD bookshelf? I've noticed those shelves are closer together and narrower.

I use "photo box" to store alot of my" stuff" out of site.

It's amazing how just a little shelf can make all the difference

Here is a picture of my organization.

As you can see, I still need more organization, but it is coming along.
