I would like to make a quilt, well I'm going to MAKE a quilt for my future SIL and want to do red/black and whites....what do you all think if I did a log cabin (one side blacks, other side reds and then border each square in white)???? or should I do black on side, white the other side and border each in red?? what do you all think????? I'm thinking it would be quite pretty

I like that idea too. It would be very striking. The red would add a pop of color. You could add a small red outer border or use it for binding to get more red in the quilt.

me too! There's been some pretty ones on here. Also you can do a Google search for images and come up with more inspiration!

    Here's a link to Google images...nice ones!

I vote for this as well. Then play with the blocks - there's like, 101 patterns you can do with these - and decide if you want them bordered or not. If you did border each block, I think the red border would look sassy with the red center.

I like this suggestion, then you can put a large red border on to help bring out the red centers :D:D:D

Without playing too much with the blocks, here's what your original idea might look like (I also did cornerstones in red). I think it's striking.
