I bought one queen batt at Hobby Lobby online today with coupon, it was $25 incl shipping, this was for the cotton fusible batt so I thought that was a good deal. I haven't tried the fusible yet, I will use this for 2 baby quilts, maybe 3 if I'm lucky!

    http://hobbylobby.com/weekly/coupon.cfm
go to this page and use this coupon for 40% off online, has a link to shop online at the top right of the page

I only use polyester batting and I have some I keep on hand about 8 bags of it. I bought some from Connecting Threads when it was on sale, it's nice but thin, I always buy hi-loft, that seems thin to me and the lo-loft is very thin.
I will just have to grin and pay the price when I run out.

With polyester there is NO shrinkage.

fabricdepot.com gives a 40% discount whenever you buy the whole roll of batting.

    no coupon necessary.

I was very lucky. My darling sister bought me 7 packages of king-sized Warm & White at the last International Quilt Festival in Houston. Late on Sunday afternoon, the vendors start discounting their products (so they won't have to transport them back, probably), and she paid $100 for the 7 packages. So, since I do mainly crib and lap quilts, I'm set for a while. If you are planning to go to a quilt show, especially one of the big ones, it's worth it to stick around to the bitter end.

I agree with Sharon, The only time I buy batting is from JoAnns when they have a sale 50% off, or I use my 50% off coupon. Last time I ordered it online, they had a 50% 0ff coupon. Postage was as cheap as driving the 30 miles to JoAnns.

I need alot of batting to, Connecting threads had warm and natural for 30% off a few weeks ago, but as usual I missed it. I will wait for the next sale,or my local Ben Franklins is great I told her I would be willing to buy a whole case and she is working up a price. maybe you have someone close to work with ,it doesn't hurt to ask. Nothing againts joannes, but in times like this I want to keep my local community working and keep my money close to home, I realize thats not always possible though
