I have a fish quilt pattern from a magazine, I will dig it out and see if it is on-line somewhere. I'm sure others will chime in with lots of suggestions too.

I am a firm believer in the KISS principle, so I would do something like this: http://www.maryquilts.com/fish/ .

I really like this pattern. It is very cute especially in the bright and happy colors.

Sindy Rodenmayer has a cute one at http://www.fatcatpatterns.com. It's appliqued fish lures.

I made quick fish quilt for my brother in law by purchasing fish fabric and sashing simple squares. It ended up pretty neat looking, it looks like you are peering at them thru an underwater window.

I've seen applique and paper pieced patterns for canoes. That would be cute with the fishing theme. Here are some applique fish patterns that would be easy to do with fusibles.

This one is a BOM so all the lures are not available yet.
