As some of you know, from the chat room, I'm in the middle of digging out, sorting, washing, ironing and storing my stash in the room I'm redoing to have a quilting area in it.
I am finding treasures long buried. I have found several awesome fabrics, and today I hit the MotherLode... I found two jackets...WIP as it were. One is a "batwing" collarless that I have pieced out of rusts and greens in 3" blocks (I think) I'd forgotten all about it. Just need to line it and it's good to go.
The other is more difficult. I got this bug to make a jacket that is one continuous "scene" around it. Sky, Mountains, Lake, foreground.. I even found some animal print that might work to put into the scene.. not sure about that one. but all I have found so far is the back and front. Not sure about sleeves. It may end up a vest.. I'll have to wait until the roomie comes home from work to help me with pics. Also found "dollclothes" and a small quilt I had started, nothing special, just 4" blocks. It's kinda fun hiding things and then finding them again...lol.

It's like a treasure hunt, isn't it? I love it when stuff like that happens....and if you've seen my house, you know it could happen quite a lot

I know how you feel. Earlier today I was going thru my emails and decided to go to the oldest msg. Low and behold there were pictures of my first couple of quilts I made. Way back in 2003. I'm going to try and post some pictures later. Also, I've just recently restarted my stash. I haven't sewn in 2-3 years and all my quilting fabric/notions, WIP are in Alabama in storage. Hubby and I are planning a road trip later this year to go get everything. I just know I will uncover alot of goodies! I know of one that I can't wait to get my hands on, it was a patriotic block swap done here probably about 4 years ago. I had enough blocks to fit a king sized bed!
So happy for your finds and can't wait to see pictures!

If that was me, I think my brain would be full. lol

I have "found" some projects so long after I started them that the color is back in fashion. Mh, wonder if I'm still alive when it comes around again? (I don't see me finishing the project any time soon.)

My stash is stored in those huge "tubs". Some of the tubs are clear but most aren't. So it's kind of like Christmas to get a colored tub from the bottom of the stack and go through it :D
