    Default Machine Quilting

I noticed that Leah Day free motion quilting class is on sale. I am a strictly a hand quilter, but have been thinking on learning how to machine quilt. Would you consider Leah Day's class a good one for a rank beginner? Or what other class on craftsy would you consider good?

I am not sure if you can really learn watching an online class. If you have a LQS, you might check into a class. When I learned, I found having the instructor right there for one on one assistance extremely helpful. A lot of tidbit information was taught to me where I was able to win some awards with my quilts. I wish I had learned to hand quilt. I admire that and have used it for a reference in my machine quilting.

Yes, it is always nice to attend a "live" class, but if that's not possible, Leah day's class is great. That's how I learned.

I just bought it on sale today so have not watched it yet. But many past reviews on this sight and others say it is great so think it is going to be worth the $20 sale price!

It was Leah's 365 day project that got me to try it on my own. I took a class at an LQS and have gotten more from the videos. Check out the Injaunt Box too. I also paid for QNNTV for a year and have learned lot on there too. So yes videos have worked for me. QNNTV can be bought for half price every so often. ($12 for a year at half price). However I live 100 miles 1 way from the nearest LQS - so my motivation to use videos may be different from yours.

I have three of Leah's classes and love them all.
I would still be procrastinating without her.

That course is good, she makes (and you make) a sampler quilt. I bought it, but didn't want to make the quilt, maybe later I will. But she also has free you-tube videos that are excellent for learning. I've viewed the YT ones many, many times. Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...otion+quilting
