Default Bit the Bullet and Bought a Mid Arm

I've had my eye on a mid arm for a while now and liked the Babylock Jewel II with the new Momentum table the best. I had a hip replacement 4 yrs ago and visited the ortho doc yesterday who urged me to have my L knee replaced. I've been procrastinating, but can't walk very much anymore without pain. So, I thought it was a good excuse to treat myself before I have the surgery. I don't want to ruin my summer, so I'm planning the surgery in the fall. In the meantime.....I am sew excited to learn to machine quilt until then. I will pick up the machine next Sat after a 2 day machine quilting camp. I've been machine quilting on my Bernina with a BSR for a few yrs now, but you can only do smaller quilts, certainly not a king size. I have a Viking Mega Quilter with an Inspira frame, but never used that machine on the frame. I love it for piecing. I'm hoping I can sell that frame to make room for the new one. I have one BR dedicated for the mid arm, but it sits on an angle, not the best arrangement, but who cares. There is NO room in my sewing room as this will make my 21st machine. Yes, I am an addict. I need to enroll in a 12 step program. I lost my job almost 2 yrs ago and now dh has been out of work for 1 yr with a job related injury. I need to stay busy and out of his hair, or should I say hide from him. This forum inspires me to no end with all the beautiful quilts that are posted daily. I'm hoping my quilts will one day live up to those that I drool over on this forum.

Congrats! I have a Babylock Jewel and love it! She was the floor model at a local shop and I got a very sweet deal when the Crown Jewels came out.
