My hands are 6.75in from base to fingertip and I wanted a close fit so I got the S/M and they're still a tiny bit loose on me. If you aren't in a hurry for them, the price fluctuates on Amazon. Bought my first pair last week for $8.63 and the next day, bought my second pair for $5.47. (Hope it's ok that I say this?) Obviously if they're on sale at Joann's, that's a better price too!

I was at JoAnn's and they were all "out". They are available online and at the 40% off price too!

I cut the thumb and index finger off my quilting gloves the way Christina Campelli does on craftsy. I still have plenty of grip with the remaining fingers and I don't have to take the gloves off to work with thread or other activities where the gloves are too heavy.

I've been using Machinger gloves for years, they are a big help for FMQ.

I use them from the time I start piecing to when I stitch the final stitch in the binding. They really help prevent hand fatigue from gripping fabric. I don't sew anything without wearing them.
