My first question is, I'm looking to purchase the Accuquilt Go. I've searched many sites, but the price is outrageous!!! Has anyone seen one that might be on sale right now?

My second question is, someone had posted another type of fabric cutter. I believe that there was some type of "arm" that could move different degrees. It looked similar to the old paper cutters. It had a flat surface and the "arm", "cutter", "slicer", could be adjusted.

Thanks!!!

Alto Quilt Cut is the other fabric cutter you're thinking of. I have one and it does work but it's heavy & takes up space so moving it off/on the table is a pain but doable & worth it if accurate cutting is a problem for you.

I have the Alto cutting system and I love it. That said, it sits on a "cutting table" and is never moved -- it would be bulky to have to move and store.

I haven't used the adjustable arm to cut angled pieces, I primarily use it for cutting strips and squares, and I use the lines on the background to cut triangles. I will say, though, that it has given me the ability to cut straight and easily and has improved my quilting dramatically -- I couldn't do what I do without it!

The quilt cut 2 is the one you are referring to. Go to their web site and they have a video demo there. I saw it at a quilt show and was very impressed and just ordered it for myself. I decided against the accucut go because the dies are so expensive, and you need one for every shape. Google quilt cut 2 to find their site. ALso use the search feature on this message board for the quilt cut and see the responses there. It's very informative

I have both. The prices of each are about the same. I think I paid more for the Alto then the price of the Go now. The Alto Quilt 2 there are no dies to buy but you are limited to in only cutting basic shapes like squares, diamonds, triangles. I seldom use the Alto other then for general cutting. It's very heavy and has a nice cutting surface and it will hold the fabric in place.

check out this link: http://www.sizzix.com/

The new Vagabond looks great to me. Got alot of great features. It can also use some of the Accucut dies.

at $275, this seems to be a good price:
