I was going to blame Eleanor, too.
My grandpa used to say a neat kitchen does not have a good cook in it. Maybe a neat sewing room doesn't have a creative quilter in it. Actually, mine isn't too bad. I try to straighten before I leave it for the day.

I'm on the Creativity bandwagon, too. I think that the mess is inherent in the creative process. Once I've finished a project, I straighten up. But during the heat of battle things get kind of messy. What I haven't decided is if messiness is directly proportional to creativity. If it is, I'm a creative GENIUS!

It takes me three days to clean mine when I know someone is coming over to sew with me for a day.. I have to bite my tongue on this but I have to much and not enough space.... Ive joined the no buying fabs of 2012 bandwagon... ha day 4 in 2012 and still holding strong..

I think it's because just to make a 3 or 4 color quilt, we need to audition about 100 different fabrics before we decide on the ones to use. Then all those fabrics need to be put away but we just want to start cutting and sewing. At least that's how it is at my house.
