The Quilters' Heritage Celebration is April 12 thru April 15 at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center, Lancaster, PA.
How many of you are thinking to attend? If so, could we plan to wear something identifying us of this forum and enable us to recognize each other? It could be fun putting a face with a name!
I plan to attend on Thursday, April 12.

Vicki,
I have also been to the Williamsburg one and prefer the Lancaster Show. I used to live in DC and our guild would go to one or the other. Then when we retired to PA, the one in Lancaster was so much closer.

Hi all...I'ma brand newbie to the board and to quilting... I have ordered my machine and hit JoAnn's to start my "collection". I am very interested in the Lancaster Quilt show... do you have a link for that? I'm at work and can't do a lot of "googling"...

Karen Kay Buckley taught a Baltimore Album course which I took a lilttle over two years ago. The quilt took two years to piece and hand quilt. When Karen saw it, she suggested I put it in the Lancaster Show (a juried show).
I had the slides made, paid my $, and waited to hear from them. Well, today I received a packet saying "Congratulations and Good Luck". I doubt I will win anything, but Karen said it is a honor to be selected to participate. Winning is like icing on the cake. Of course, she can say this as she has won "Best of Show" at least six times at all of the really really big shows.
Sooooo, if anyone is going my quilt is #JJ309. Suzanne

Hi Suz, I'm not exactly sure when I'll be there, but my daughter and I are planning to go on Thursday or Friday. Congratulations and good luck. I'll watch for your quilt. Karen Kay Buckley is teaching a workshop for our quilt guild in May. I'm very excited!

Tim,
Nice suggestion!! BUT we ALL have to wear the skull cap, etc so that we ALL can recognize each other - not just me. I'll get mine ready now. Okay? Can I expect to see you there?
Mindy, are you getting ready to wear same?
Actually, I am hoping to be a "little" (or not so little) mouse and listen to what others say about my quilt and if pictures are being taken. Should be fun.
