Mink scraps - use or not?
#1
A customer brought in a beautiful curly black mink coat for us to reupholster her small bedroom chair. We returned the uncut portion to her, but the little scraps went into the trash which I then liberated. NOW what can I do with them? And would it be politically incorrect to use them somehow in an art quilt? I could never wear fur, but this is from an old coat made before people got wiser...

Use them for doll hair or the mane for a cloth animal either as a toy or a pillow. Depends how big the scraps are. You could use them for trim on a pair of mittens or a purse. Or make a cat toy with catnip inside, they love things like that.

Depending on how big of scraps they are ,I would use them to make small medicine pouches that are worn around the neck. Many sell these on ebay and etsy. Also those that make these would be happy to buy the scraps. They only have to be big enough to hold a small stone or two.
