My guilt guild, Quaking Aspen Quilt Guild, here in the Boulder,CO area has a feature article in the new Quilter's Newsletter Magazine(Feb/March 2011). Our guild always makes a quilt for the out-going president and this past year we did something very unique and special. Please look on pages 44 and 45 and read all about this gorgeous star quilt! I was one of the four ladies who actually helped put it together (WOW....what a task) and I am even quoted at the end of the article. Our president LOVED it.

Congrats to you, always nice to see your efforts published. I need to brag also, the cover quilt is a new quilt by a local quilter/designer. She has published several books and patterns and is a fantastic quilter and a great person. This is her latest.

Hi, Leslie! I read that article. Love the quilt & its bright colors! Have been there, done that, but didn't get the terrific product you guys did! We weren't so creative. And, back then, we hand quilted it -ugh! Ours wasn't a gift, but rather a raffle quilt. Turned out fine, but not as fine as yours! Was your Presdient out-going?

Yes, she served two years. All retiring presidents get a quilt from the guild.
