Those 9-patches would be pretty set on point with a dark (maybe black) background.

[quote=Johanna Fritz]There are some clear envelopes made for fabric postcards to mail that have a self-sealing edge. I went in with several friends and bought them. I have the post office hand cancel the post card by hand right on the stamp, and then seal the clear envelope and mail. I have sent these to the US, France, Germany, Phillipines and Australia without problem.

Johanna, where did you get the envelopes if you don't mind me asking?

When I was a kid (and I am almost 78 now) we used to save all the pieces and scraps of fabric when we made our dresses.(we made our own clothes back then). Then we boxed them up and sent them to my grandmother who cut them into pieces, using a cereal box to make templates. She used scissors and sewed mostly by hand. These look like the blocks she used to make and we loved our quilts. She didn't finish all of them into quilts, but loved to piece and make tops. Sound familiar? Anyway, I inherited some of them and still have them. Some I made into quilts and others I kept as vintage tops. Because I could not do all of them, I donated a boxful to a church for charity quilts. You have a treasure of someones passion. Enjoy!!!
