Last week i had commented on a thread about someone missing some of the blocks. well i had to vent about my experience with a certificate not being credited and no reply. Yesterday I heard from the shop and they said there was no comments or gift certificate noted - so i guess it could have been an error on my part. Regardless she offered to either credit my credit card or give me a certicate for a future purchase. I took the certificate because she had a lot of nice stuff and there were some things i wanted but just couldn't get at the time. so problem solved! I am happy!

I'm glad that you and the shop came to an agreement. I had a similar problem last year. Every time I tried to contact the shop where I had won a gift certificate, about my order that never arrived, they were 'away at a trade or quilt show'. I finally got annoyed--especially after I won a second gift certificate at the same shop. I must say that the email I sent, was not exactly cordial, but the owner finally responded. The fabric I had originally ordered was no longer available (grrr) but she offered me a larger piece of something 'similar' at no charge and we decided to call everything even. The next month her shop was no longer part of the FabShopHop.

I enjoy the FabShopHop every month but do find it strange that the only gift certificates I ever won were from Canadian shops.

Could it be only winning Canadian shop certificates because of the exchange rate/shipping rates?? just a thought. i noticed that a majority of the Canadian shop certificates are won by Canadians.
