Yesterday I found out that my favorite quilt shop was closing  . A group of us meet there every Wed. for a sit-n-sew and therapy session. We always have the greatest time and the shop's owner is so wonderful and accommodating. Yes, some of us actually cried when we heard the news. We are now looking for another venue in which to meet to continue our friendly meetings. Wish us luck.

Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about another quilt shop closing

please see if you can meet at a local library, also the Farm Bureau Insurance Company lets you use their rooms at office, Hobby Lobby lets you use their classroom, or maybe at a church building

I hope you find something soon, good luck

not all Hobby Lobby stores allow it..ours does not and according to them and the corporate office it is against their insurance and company policies!

Most libraries will, but for hand sewing only...no noisy machines...

Most public libraries have community service rooms that are free, you just need to call and ask and set-up a time that your group wants to meet. A lot of Fire Departments also have a community service room that allows meetings, just call and ask. Good luck and so sorry about your LQS.

Which shop is closing? I hope it's NOT Designers Two? I know she's been trying to sell for some time now.
