Default Does anyone have an A1 quilting machine?

I would like some personal opinions of this machine. I may have an chance to buy a used one, but without information I am hesitant. I have not seen it yet, but just wanted to know if someone has this machine and what you think of it. I am still new, not really ready to buy yet, but if this is a good opportunity I want to be ready.

I belong to a longarm group and one of our best quilters has an A1. I don't personally know much about it, but I know she loves it and does an outstanding job.

I don't have one but I did go to the MQX show to try out various brands. This was my number 2 choice (Innova number 1). I really liked the way it felt in my hands. Was very smooth and the stitching was nice. Maybe try this. Go to Yahoo and join this group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homequiltingsystems/

There are probably members with A1 plus they have a lot of info in the database.

Plus a link to the company. http://www.a1quiltingmachines.com/index.php

I don't know much about them because there is not Dealer in my area for that machine. However, I have heard very good things about them.

I have heard very good things about them, and tried one this spring at a large quilt show. I have a Gammill which I love, but the A-1's another machine I think I could be happy with. It was very quiet and seemed smooth. Check out all the features of the different brands of longarms to help you decide. I don't remember what features the A-1 had. But features I have on my Gammill which I really like are horizontal and vertical channel locks, and of course, stitch regulation. Good luck to you! Hope you get a great machine at a great price!
