OK, being dense here, what do you mean "display it behind an old window/frame"? Do you cut it down to fit the window?

Cut out a portion and frame it. Give other portions framed as gifts, especialy to quilting friends.

I have a wonderful rabbit made from muslin that has a dress made from an old quilt that sits on my guest bed. She always gets great reviews.

Parts could even be used in a paper frame for a greeting card.

The best thing is that you found the quilt, knew it value, and rescued it!
