These classes are not cheap so I take the easy road, with books , dvds ,you tube and my friends . We are very close and we have the ideal quilting classmates . We take classes but have not nightmares,,,yet. Good luck.

Have never had the money to take a class, but I agree with everything you said. In high school the boy behind me lifted my desk off the floor with his legs (with me in it). I was a freshman, he was a junior. I got an F in Algebra, because I was too shy to complain.

has actually had her machine out of the box before, and has used a sewing machine before....no this was not a new machine class it was an advanced block class, and hopefully understands the word triangle.
(at break we heard that her DH expected her to come home (2 day class) with a bedspread. my sip of coffee almost came out my nose.)

Dear friend of mine took a class and said same thing. She told him that unless he was pregnant with child, not to 'expect" anything more than a swatch of fabric.
