There are a few easy methods to do your hearts. First use fusible webbing and then topstitch in place after you iron them down. The 2nd one is to sew the heart wrong side up to a USED dryer sheet. Make a slit in the back of the dryer sheet and turn right side out. I have tried both methods. I really like your ideas and can't wait to see it come to life! Good luck!
