Here are pages and pages of Turning Twenty quilts that others have done. Some you can see well enough to get some good ideas for your quilting. Good luck. Look forward to seeing pics when they're done.

WOW, thismomquilts, what a treat for the eyes! Thanks for sharing your picture--is that a different version of Turning Twenty? I have only seen a simple three-block pattern. That is stunning.
Thanks to everyone for your great suggestions and advice. Thanks for the link, Quiltgranny! I had not thought to google for pictures. There are some amazing, fun quilts out there. One of my daughters has already chosen her fat quarters - Mary Engelbrite prints with reds, blacks, yellows and greens - so cute!

I made one of those for my granddaughter and did the stitch in the ditch, but in the big block I fmq her initial. I did each one in a different direction, so no matter which way she used it she could see her initial.

I sent my "Turning twenty" quilt to a long-arm quilter and she just used a basic "swirly" pattern.
I also made a small quilt last month, using 10 FQ and basically the same instructions and called it my "Twisted Ten" quilt.

Here are some pictures of my cute girls. They started sewing in a 4-H sewing camp at age nine, and we began quilting together when they were 13.

I've made a bunch of Turning Twenty quilts and use the pattern for quick baby quilts. In the big squares, I've machine appliqued circles or scotty dogs, etc. I've also done "Turning Twenty Again" and other books by the same authors. Love the idea of using fat quarters, stacking, and cutting everything. So easy and a true winner every time. Usually have these quilts machine quilted. If the fabrics are very busy, just overall quilted.
