Nice to hear you give credit where it is well deserved.

Malwarebytes.org

This is the free program that has saved my a#$... It really does work. I was hit with something a couple of weeks ago and if not for this....I wouldn't be in this forum now.

I just showed this to my husband and he laughed ( not a happy laugh) -- he did the same thing -- only worse -- I fixed the computer problem and it has taken 3 weeks and many cancelled and re-issued cards to fix the credit card info thatwas stolen

I just downloaded the free version and did a quick scan. I found 248 problems which I then corrected. I will do a full scan tonight.

I HATE it when that happens! Glad your wife was able to work it out.

I agree.....
they always said.... "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away"

so in these times, I would change it to:

"An APPLE ON YOU DESK KEEPS THE VIRUSES AWAY"

I keep one of those programs on my computer all the time just in case. I too opened one one time that kept dirty pictures popping up one right after the other then an ad for virus protection software came on. Made me sooooo mad.

I too have a Mac, love it, will never go back to a PC. There are paybacks though. I have two Bernina machines and they are not supported by Mac. I can still download embroidery designs and load them on the USB stick and use them in my machine. Now, if you want to use some of the software from Bernina, it won't work. You would have to get a parallel program that also uses a PC platform. I have been told it will work fine, but I can't bring myself to load anything that has to do with a PC because of all the problems we had with virus and lock ups, etc.

She sounds great, maybe she deserves a flower?
Are the mac computers expensive.....I didnt know they didnt get viruses. When all my kids lived here, seemed we always had to get the computer fixed.
