Default Name badges for guilds

We need to make name tags for quilt guild. I am at a loss ? Would you show me some pictures or make suggestions. I checked on YouTube but didn't find anything.

Do you have a logo? Perhaps have someone digitize the logo for embroidery. Keep it small , perhaps 4"x4" and the members can put borders around the design and then quilt it. Or you can can copy the logo onto printable fabric.

One of my guilds makes them out of quilt blocks that are about 1/2 the size of a potholder. Make the center in a white or light color so that people can write their names in, and attach a slim strap so members can hang them around their necks.

One person in our guild makes them and sells them to new members, but new members could just as easily make their own from scraps. It would make a fun, quick activity for a meeting, too.

For visitors, use the stick on name labels you can buy at a place like Office Depot or Staples.

What about everyone making a quilted postcard with their name on them. That way everyone would have a very personalized card that would help start a conversation or introduction.

At the guild I am in, everyone makes whatever type they want. Mine is a 'flower' made with 1" hexagons in 30s repros...English paper pieced. Then I embroidered my name on it.

Everyone makes their own in my guild. I use the name tag I got at the Des Moines quilt show or the one from Houston. They always generate a conversation!

Our guild prints the guild logo, the guild name and our name on a printable fabric. Then, it is up to us to make our badge.

Our Guild has badges printed at a copy place in town. We have to have 10 for the order, they are plastic with a tropical design and have magnetic backs. Only $7 each. Members can make their own or order the Guild badges.

We had a contest at our guild. Each member made their own, then we awarded a prize for the best. Also, if someone doesn't wear their nametag, they have to "feed the piggy" a quarter. At the end of the year we use that money to draw a member's name and award them a free year's membership. (I won this year.)
