    I agree with Jacob's ladder. The white and then the dark coners make it very interesting and different.

    i see hst's with the white and colors. then a block in between with a four patch in center, corner stones and white on all sides. easy enough but no name of pattern, sorry.

    I know I have seen a block like that - it reminds me of flying animals - like bird, or a bat. I think I have that fabric - I will try to find the pattern that I think this is. Its very cute.

    This is not quite a Jacob's Ladder. Search on the name to see examples. Mine is posted here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-133646-1.htm

    Jacob's Ladder is a 9-patch with 4-patches on the corners and center and HSTs on the center of each edge. This quilt only has 3 4-patches and has 6 HSTs.

    Okay, call it a Jacob's Ladder variation, then. :) It's close enough that she can use that pattern and easily make a change.
