Default Name tags or collars

Does anyone have any ideas for making a name tag collar type sash to wear at our guild meetings? I'm looking for different ideas. Any suggestions. I hope this makes sense. Any pictures you have would be most helpful too.

Are you meaning a lanyard type?
Or a Beauty Queen sash?

What do the others in the Guild have?

I can't stand drapey and hanging types of things ... so I would opt for making a miniature siggie quilt block, and write my name in the centre ... and wear it like a brooch.

We used a very small Snail's Trail block and paper pieced it. It's a 3" square, then attached a piece of white 3" x 1 1/2" at the bottom to write our name on. Quilted, bound and attached a pin to the back.

I think a lanyard is the way to go. Pick one up at the $ store with a clip on the end. You can make little name tags to interchange for the bottom.

I guess I'm not describing it correctly. It goes around your neck like a scarf and then hang down in the front. Or I've seen some block type that you pinon.

Sounds like a chatelaine to me. I've seen them, but no pattern for them. Sorry! Maybe someone else could help.
