You make a quilter's knot and pop it into the batting when you first start. I think that's what you are asking. You can probably find out how to do a quilter's knot by searching. Not sure if I can explain it without visuals.

I do quilt around the designs a lot for baby quilts so I can take the project along with me. I always bury the not. I just wouldn't want it the come unraveled.

Nice quilt I've always knotted. Wouldn't it come undone?

Knot and pull into the batting. Neat quilt.

I'm starting to hand quilt around some of the designs and I have a question about it. When you stitch around the object are the stitches suppose to show on the back like the front? Or just on the front?
