    I like your way better. The corners are much easier. I'm changing my pattern in EQ.

    The proportions of the blocks seem different (original quilt design request and the block referred to in post #16)

    However, that method does use two fewer pieces than the way I came up with. It does require four shapes - two of them reversed. The "piineapple" method mentioned by Peckish.

    After looking at my drawings more carefully - the method shown in post 16 is the way to go.

    After checking my math - the corner units will be too small the way I drafted them.

    (6 times the diagonal is less than 9 times the vertical.)

    Well - I would have made life easier for myself if I had looked at this before I started all my drawings!
