good thinking all! Maybe I was struggling just because I didn't pick the fabrics myself :-) Will definitely break out the colored pencils tonight!

I see a Bento Box type pattern myself. http://webpages.charter.net/cmladronka/bminorblock.htm

Very simple rail fence also a possibility. If you have another more picturesque fabric to add, you could do a Warm Wishes using the 3 fabrics you have for the rails. http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/d...html?idx=5185_

I Love the fabric. Guess I haven't grown up enough! Those were my favorite colors in High School! My grandma cringed every time she saw that green! But she was always the first one to buy me something in that color.
I like your pattern. Black in the center. Green above the black. And the peace sign fabric to the right and left. Just my opinion though :)

Do some test blocks. I think if you put the black in the center, like someone else said, it will work. And remember, ugly is in the eye of the beholder. :)

Maybe throw in a solid black or tone on tone black to help separate the fabrics.
    That sound good

It was your avatar that gave me the idea. On my monitor, it is very similar to the colors of the fabrics you posted and the Bento Box pattern has the same simple lines--just arranged differently.
