I love the mug rug idea! I have some and love them. I always remember the reason they were made. Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

I like the rock idea best just because there is no extra work involved. You could buy those smooth purple colored marble type things that people use in aquariums or in the base of flower vases. The Dollar tree usually has them, 1 bag for a dollar would be plenty. Great ideas everyone!

A travel tissue cover. You know, the kind of cover you just slip the tissue into. Easy to make and there are even free instruction on the internet. It takes little fabric and little time. You could plan on doing 10 a week and have them done in plenty of time.

I like the idea of the small mug rugs. We all drink coffee, tea or iced drinks. They would be used every day and be a reminder.

I thought the purple yo-yo too: Awesome: How precious that you have this occasion to be creative for others: This has been added to my Daily Prayer list too::: Bless you for what you do for these patients.

I used to work for a local bank as a courier. Each Christmas I gave each employee a small gift. One year I made magnets. I used the magnets businesses give out for my magnets. I printed quotes and/or sayings and attached them to the magnet with clear packing tape.
Two quotes you could use:
"Help me to remember, Lord, that nothing's going to happen today that you and I can't handle together."

another Each dawn holds a new hope for a new plan, making the start of each day the start of a new life.

One for grief:
