Greetings - I'm new to this site. I am a new co-leader at a quilting reteat next Oct. Have gone to this retreat for many years and would like to have some input by you quilters as to what you have experienced at various retreats you have gone to. What kind of take-home items were given to you...quilting games...procedures shown...types of unique name tags.. etc., or ideas you would like to experience at a retreat. We would like to make this retreat interesting, unique, and fun, yet get some quilting accomplished besides. Can you help us with your ideas???

Invite participants to bring fabric, books, or patterns they want to swap (or sell).
Invite each stitcher to make a block for a charity quilt, or have a drawing for one person to take home the blocks.
Have a Fat Quarter exchange, using your favorite gift exchange game.
Cut regular and chocolate Krispie treats into same-sized triangles or diamonds and display as a quilt block for dessert.
Don't forget your cameras! Show and tell, progress reports, fashion show. . . Have fun!

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
I've never been to a quilting retreat yet, but hope to some time in the future.
I'd try to post this question under the "main" section and you might get more responses from all the awesome members of this board!!

Greetings: Thank you for your comments. This is such a great website....it's almost 3a.m. reading so many of quilter's projects, etc. I can see I'm going to have to use a timer or I'll never get back to my quilting!!!! Ha... Now, seeing as I'm sooo new at this...where is it that I should post my original "plea?" You said the "main" page....where exactly is that? I easily get lost in this site....so far (but I'm a-working on it.) Any and all ideas are welcomed.
