How about placemats with matching cloth napkins, casserole covers and tote bags?

This is what I'm making for Christmas gifts. It's a free pattern from Moda. I am doing some of them with the honey buns. But, I am also going to do some with a 10 1/2 wide piece of fabric that the pattern is to pretty to cut in 1 1/2 stripes and fm. One honey bun will make 4 bags if the honey bun has 40 stripes. You need 10 stripes for one bag.

Moda's webside has a lot of nice free patterns.

How about cell phone cases and accessory (ditty) bags. I just picked up a cute pattern from Fig Tree Quils for an accessory bag that I saw at a quilt shop when I was out of town. They were so cute in the shop and instructions seem like they would be a snap to whip up.

Llink below for a picture of the pattern for the accessory bags:

They also have a cute cell phone bag pattern that I also purchased.

I love the idea of the placemats and cassarole carriers. Add a new cassarole dish with it. There is tons of cute purse patterns out there and tote bags with thier own organizer for inside.

I really like that the belts have gone wide again. You could make some accessories like that to give. Or even headbands are back. Or even scarves and caps from wool and silk.

You could go shopping at esty for ideas. Or look at sewing patterns on line. They have lots of fun ideas there. Or go on a trip to the local quilt shop.

One year I made a theme of spa type gifts. An eye pad, neck roll and towel in a nice handmade tote bag with some lotions, spritzers and hair products.
They were a big hit. The eye bags were scented with lavender. I got the idea while visiting a lavendar shop here in reno.

Other years I have made bakery baskets with handmade linen liners and my homemade jars of chow chow and jellies. I bought candies, coffe and teas to put in to round it off.

Well you get the idea. Choose a theme for your gifts, and then it gets easier.
