I have had carpal tunnel surgery, elbow releases, shoulder surgery and have a hard time holding the fabric stable. The best thing I have found is an Altos cutter. It helps to stabilize the fabric making my cuts more accurate. I thought about the go cutter, but it was cost prohibitive to buy all the accessories. Best thing I have bought to help with cutting.

Have you considered one of the rolling rulers? They are great for cutting strips which can then be cut into squares and triangles. They are easy to use and do not require a lot of strength to operate. Here's wishin you a speedy recovery and happy days of quilting.
